jvc true black d-ila projectors |
In the wake of their roaring success with the HD350 and HD750 projectors, JVC have turned their focus to reference level flat screens. Easter 2009 sees the launch of a new range of LED backlit LCD TVs, each capable of 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.... but the real excited is a single model that up until now seems to have slipped the radar. This is the LT-42WX70 and it's about to give plasma a run for it's money.

jvc XIVIEW lt-42wx70 |
JVC have taken LCD technology to an extreme new level in the shape of the LT-42WX70 a.k.a. the XiView (pronounced see view by the way). This LCD monitor comes boasting a lot of new technology, the heart of which is a brand-new, super-slim, LED backlit 1080p panel. JVC are aiming this toward the high end digital camera user as the screen is able to reproduce an astonishing colour gamut, well above and beyond that required for HDTV and reaching 96% of the professional Adobe RGB colourspace as used in professional photography. But to see this screen strapped up to a high end video processor and Blu-Ray player and you start to see what the excitement is all about. In addition to all the photo loveliness we get a screen which is uniquely calibrated at the factory for perfect 2.2 gamma curve and provides intelligent colour management for colour accuracy. The panel itself is gorgeous, and with 100/120Hz clear motion drive doesn't fail in the movement stakes either. As soon are stocks available we will have one of these bad boys on show with HD Cam, HDTV, Blu-Ray, and of course some very high-quality camera shots!
