In another extension to the fantastic C3X line, Sim2 have announced their new baby the C3X-1080 LUMIS HOST. The first thing to take note of is the 35,000:1 contrast ratio and 3000 ANSI Lumens light output! Using a combination of technologies; a dynamic IRIS, DynamicBlack processing technology and a variable dimming lamp, the C3X-1080 LUMIS is able to deliver jaw-dropping images from it's trio of Texas Instruments DC4 1080p DLP chips.

To sweeten an already fantastic deal the HOST part of this new projectors monicker stands for High-definition Optical Signal Transfer. This is Sim2's tried and tested media-box layout which allows us to install the projector up to 750ft away from the kit rack, running and optical fibre connection back to the HOST box which contains Sim2's excellent 10 bit video processing with Live Colours management, six HDMI conections, SDI input, and a small army of analogue connections for legacy equipment.

The new Domino D60 from Sim2 is an absolute corker! Face value alone we're looking at a 1080p resolution, DarkChip3 DLP projector with a Sim2 badge on it (which can only mean good things!) for less than three grand!
